Mesh: The Machine Economy on Robinhood

Mesh: The Machine Economy on Robinhood

Software is learning to spend money. Agents can already read the docs, call the API, and parse the response. The only thing they could not do was pay for it.

That is the gap Mesh closes. We are building the machine economy on Robinhood Chain: the payment rails, the marketplace, the identity layer, and the wallets that let agents transact end to end without a human in the loop.

Where we stand: MPP and x402

Machine payments work the same everywhere. A server quotes its price with HTTP 402, the client answers with a signed stablecoin authorization, and the request completes. No accounts, no API keys, no invoices.

Two standards carry that loop today, and Mesh runs both:

MPP is the open Machine Payments Protocol. Every offer is machine readable, so any agent can discover a service and pay for it in one round trip. Every merchant created on Mesh speaks MPP from day one.

x402 is the ecosystem standard the wider agent economy settles on. And here is our strongest card: Mesh is the first x402 payment rail on Robinhood Chain. USDG has no native signed transfer support, so we built the rail ourselves on Permit2. The client signs a witness transfer pinned to the merchant, our relayer broadcasts it, and USDG moves payer to merchant on chain, gas sponsored. The same facilitator also settles USDC on Base.

One gateway, two rails. Agents pay in whichever stablecoin they hold.

The stack

Everything the machine economy needs, built as one system:

MeshMarket is the marketplace. 500+ machine payable merchants across both rails, from market data to AI inference, each with agent ready payment snippets.

MeshWallet turns any agent into a buyer. One npx command gives it a Robinhood Chain wallet as an MCP server that discovers mesh merchants and pays per use in USDG.

MeshIdentity gives agents a name. ERC-8004 identity and reputation registries live on Robinhood Chain: one signature mints a portable on chain ID that anyone can verify and score.

MeshAgent is the chat interface to all of it. Trade tokenized stocks, launch tokens, and pay any mesh merchant in one conversation.

MeshScan is the explorer. Every x402 payment settled by registered facilitators on Robinhood Chain, decoded straight from the chain. No database, no trust: signers in, settlements out.

MeshSDK is the developer surface. Client and server libraries for both rails: catch a 402, sign, and retry, or charge for your own endpoint in a few lines.

The newest storefront shows what this looks like in practice: MeshPons, listed on x402scan, sells Pons launchpad intelligence and live Uniswap data on Robinhood Chain. Agents pay 3 to 7 cents per request in USDG on Robinhood or USDC on Base and get launch records, pool state, and on chain swap quotes back in the same round trip.

The flywheel: $MESH and Earn

Every payment settled through the marketplace carries a small protocol fee, and that fee goes to $MESH holders. Not a treasury, not the company.

Hold the bar and you receive daily drops of tokenized stocks on Robinhood Chain: each epoch the day's USDG pool is swapped into a different tokenized asset and distributed pro rata, straight to the wallet. No staking contract, no claim.

More merchants bring more agent traffic. More traffic means more settlements. Every settlement makes holding $MESH more rewarding, which pulls the next wave of builders in.

Where the numbers are today

  • 11,700+ on chain settlements through the gateway
  • 520+ live merchants on the marketplace
  • 3,000+ machine payable endpoints discoverable from one OpenAPI document
  • 12 Earn epochs settled, 500+ USDG worth of tokenized stock drops paid to holders
  • 2 payment rails: USDG on Robinhood Chain, USDC on Base

Early numbers, compounding daily. The machine economy does not sleep, and neither do its settlements: the gateway clears payments 24/7, weekends included, because agents do not know what a banking day is.
